Mrs. Tiggy Winkle's Washday Using the story of Mrs Tiggy Winkle, pupils will explore the objects she uses for washday. Pupils will then have the opportunity to try out some of the tasks and analyse some mystery Victorian objects. |

Victorian School Pupils will be taken through a Victorian class lesson using slates and dip pens, will experience chanting of tables and spellings, reading, drill, object lessons and drawing and ironing. Following the lesson will be an evaluation of the experience. |

Handling Objects Using museum type objects pupils will be taken through an activity to work out what a particular object is. in groups, they will have the opportunity to question and draw the object, elicit answers, and feed back the result of their enquiries to the rest of the class. |

Houses Long Ago Pupils will be shown examples of buildings and houses from different periods and given clues on how to recognise them. If appropriate, they can be taken out to identify local buildings and record the details and draw at least one. |
